POEM - Morning Drive
And just then,
When it seemed like Despair
Would leave its fingerprints
All over me,
I turned and faced the east.
Where that smudge of rising light
That is the sun
Reminded me of how small
I really was;
That today, I was being granted one more
Single day to love harder -
More purely
More intensely -
Than I ever had before.
When it seemed like Despair
Would leave its fingerprints
All over me,
I turned and faced the east.
Where that smudge of rising light
That is the sun
Reminded me of how small
I really was;
That today, I was being granted one more
Single day to love harder -
More purely
More intensely -
Than I ever had before.
